Why spend that much for those phoenix tactical feet that is more expensive than the bipod itself? If you are going to spend that much money... why not just get a atlas or one of the other high end quality bipods?

When I shoot prone and off the bench it feels like the feet on it roll form the recoil I use a support bag for the butt of the gun.
Atlas was along the lines I was thinking your right the Phoenix tactical is not cheep I've looked at them. I'm looking for some feedback from others that have changed the feet or just bought a different bipod.

Phoenix Tactical is solid kit. They are that price because of the demand and the fact that they work. There are multiple styles of the feet to adapt to your conditions. All you need is an allen head driver and you can change them out all day.
For wet muddy conditions in grass, you are going to be hard pressed to beat those claw feet on a Harris. Especially on a heavy gun.
I think the ATLAS would be leaps and bounds better if they would just makes their cleat feet a larger diameter. I have a good number of the ATLAS bipods and I think that is one improvement that needs to happen.

I'll give the opposite perspective... I'm about to buy the Phoenix claws & ski feet. I own and shoot an Atlas on another rifle. I love my TRG bipod and would probably pick the Snipers Choice due to design over either Atlas or Harris. However, at $130 for claws & ski set, it beats spending another $279 for the Atlas or $450 for the LRA Snipers Choice, plus the cost & effort to install a pic rail. Also, I already have 2 spare Harris S-BRM lying around.
If I dont like the Harris/Phoenix, they are known to sell same day at minimal loss.

Just run both Atlas and Harris. Like my father always says, you can't have enough bipods.....

I have the Triad Ttaical claw feet on my Harris bipod,and they are top notch workmanship,and worth every penny.....

Why don't you try a Harris with the claws and then comment on their function. You can load the Harris like nobodys buisness when the claws are attached. Snow, mud, leaves etc. The atlas has feet avalible that are a JOKE!

I shoot from every type of surface from car hoods to mud. It always amazes me when I see big ole' talons hanging off a bipod.
I use a Harris with regular rubber feet and no knobs. On the AI I use an Altas with the regular feet. When you learn to drive the rifle the fact that the feet roll becomes less of a problem and more of a benefit. On many surfaces it's so much easier to track or transition between targets when there is some give in the footing.
However if you have to accessorize, I guess it's a good way to go.
I just prefer to spend money on ammo for trigger time to resolve any issues. That way the "fix" works on any rifle I get behind.
Notice how much "hop" or "roll" I am getting on the bench with a standard bipod:

I think they serve a purpose no matter how you want to label them.
If you want to talk specifics in the video then you were still moving quite a bit, but that is indicative of bench shooting, your body weight is not all behind the rifle. I personally hate bench shooting for that reason.
In a soupy/muddy/rainy mess the claws serve a specifics role. They stay above the junk and let you achieve accurate shot placement with a sturdy base.

If you are shooting "prone" off the bench, I would like to watch. You must look awfully funny with your lower half dangling! Either that, or you have extremely big benches.
I do my prone beside the bench in the gravel or dirt.
