So I'm brand new to the precision game...

1) REM 700 Tactical
2) Manners T4A Stock (just arrived in the mail today after a 2.5 month wait)

The question: What harris bi-pod will fit the Manners T4A stock. I want the 6-9 notched legs...just have no idea what specific model will attach to the stock.

I have a harris bi-pod with a Larue mount that I use for my AR...however, I've never messed with anything that doesn't have a rail. The manners just has two nipples at the forend of the stock.

Help!

you want HBRM or HBRM-S with the S being the one that swivels.

I recommend a KMW pod loc if you go with the S as this makes the tension adjustment very easy one handed.

By "nipples" I assume you mean swivel studs. If that's the case, you've got a couple options.

1) Just buy a stock Harris BRM-S (benchrest, 6-9", notched-leg, swivel model) and attach it to the forward-most swivel stud with the hardware that comes with the stock bipod as they ship from the mfg.;

or

2) get a rail with the proper spacing to fit the existing Manners swivel stud spacing...remove the two studs...screw on the rail using the existing locations for the swivel studs...then run an Atlas, your existing Harris with the Larue rail adapter, etc. Multiple companies make the rails I am referring to, including Accu-Shot (which also makes the Atlas bipod), Seekins Precision, Badger Ordnance, etc.

You could always have a short rail installed on the manners and keep using your existing bi pod. I use the rail mounted Atlas and love how quick it goes on and off.

Thanks for responding gentlemen....I'll see what my military discount can afford. Long time lurker here and brand new to the game like I said before. My REM 700 Tactical and Manners T4A stock was dropped off to be glass bedded so I have some time to think about which bi-pod option I'll go with. Appreciate the info!

lol yes I meant swivel studs...total newbie. I'm used to ARs and pistols...not precision rifles.
