This is really nothing new. Back in the 90s I learned CC companies consider you a deadbeat if you use their card, but pay off the balance every month. The system encourages debt. Lenders love ARM. Suck in a first-time home buyer, let them "rent" it for a few years, repossess, rinse and repeat. Refinancing? Golden goose. How many never pay off a mortgage?

The odds of us ever buying another house are miniscule. As things are, we would never consider financing.

They are going to charge people who have good credit (I.e. history of paying their bills and strong debt to income ratio) a monthly fee on their new mortgage in order to offer lower interest rates to people with poor credit (I.e. history of NOT paying their bills and a poor debt to income ratio). The threshold of who gets to subsidize the “less fortunate” is those with a credit score of 680 or higher……680…..that’s a shitty credit rating…..which means they plan to sell homes to people who have a credit score of LESS than 680.

This is the starting line for another 2008 housing crisis.

The fact that someone in the government even thought this was a good idea shows how screwed this country is.

They layout in their plan exactly how they are going to take from us, but say nothing specific about how they plan to redistribute that wealth other than to use it to help bad credit rating people get loan. How? I think after the initial chaos it will something like the scenario in "One Second After." There was a time in the mid to late 1700s when colonists got pretty upset about taxation without representation. Fast forward to 2023.

We have a different problem. It is representation without taxation. De Tocqueville warned us about this very thing. When a system is created where one citizen can, through his representative's vote, obtain the wealth of another citizen, then the Republic is finished. Well folks, we are at that point.
