Biggest asshole in CHP get qualified immunity revoked

Arrested a firefighter/ paramedic while he was rendering aid to a crash victim ; because he didn’t like where he was parked .
CHP spent millions defending him in court all the way to the 9th circuit court of appeals. Where a panel of judges destroyed the qualified immunity claims .

I spent a relaxing 45 minutes watching this. I thought the three judge panel asked the right questions. Morales, the CHP officer was a dick and "earned" the right to be stripped of qualified immunity. Just because you can cuff someone, it doesn't mean you should - and doing so without consult (with a firefighter in an emergency situation) was a grave error.

And anyone on the cops end could have admitted that at any time - like in mediation or at any point up until the court of appeals. Saved lots of money and time and spending a bunch of good will defending a complete fucking asshole in a public trial . That means that everyone in his chain of command doesn’t think he’s an asshole and he is free to cuff whom ever wherever for whatever - working on crash victims or not .
