Good afternoon,

I am in search of a new bipod for a new match rifle. I have an Atlas PSR bipod that has been very good to me. However, I want something that puts the apex above bore a little higher. This has caused me to look at the Atlas CAL, 5-H and Elite Iron Revolution.

To be honest, I am leaning towards the revolution as it seems to be more versatile and adapted to angles easier.

Price is not an issue and I will be using this bipod for local PRS matches and south Texa hunting. It will be running on a MPA chassis that will have clip on night vision mounted on from time to time.

Any reason I should go Atlas over EI?

I've got a revolution on a Gap 10, best bipod I have ever used, and I also own Atlas, and Harris.......pricy, and I try not to buy off the inter web, so I wanted to talk to a human........took 2 or 3 calls, but they took care of me.....if you spring for one, you will like it...

I need to try the elite irons, but I’ve switched from the atlas psr to cal after running both. I never used the pan and it just seemed to be more of an nuisance to straighten it out all the time. The pod loc is also nice.

I have a couple of ATLAS including the 5H. I think the wide stance and flexibility it provides is truly awesome but I don’t use it for PRS as it is too wide for some of the stages. For straight out prone shooting it is hard to beat.

I have been eyeing the Elite Iron for some time and have heard nothing but good things about it. I will eventually plunge for one.

Has anyone compared the revolution to a Cyke Pod?

I just ordered a Cyke. I haven't watched the revolution videos but the Cyke looks like it might not go inverted like the Revolution but it looks like the Revolution might not swivel.

Both look very versatile to me but I like the way the Cyke has a Picatinny or Arca mounting.

I have a 5H and while I like it and it works very well, like all Atlas bipods, I frankly dont like the cant feature. Nothing I can really verbalise but essentially it doesnt seem like it works smoothly. Could just be me but wanted to share some feedback

I went back and forth between a 5H and LRA. Finally got behind both after sometime of looking and purchased the LRA. It just seemed like it was smoother and higher quality. However, I would never run either in a Prs match. The PSR is tough to beat for PRS shooting.

If my chassis system would of permitted I would of purchased the Phoenix bipod.

I have the 5h, I agree that the can’t feature lacks being smooth. Actually it’s down right putrid as it just jumps from one place to the other.

I had an elite iron revolution on a edm windrunner. I liked the features and smoothness of its operation. Mine just didn’t have the 45 deg position. I really didn’t like the 1913 set mount setup but I lived with it.

I wish it had a quick release of some type but it’s not a deal breaker.

Atlas. Hands down. Atlas bipods on both my guns and they have ever let me down. All American - The Standard. Probably lots of really fancy stuff out there but I'm a fan of stuff that has worked for me right out of the box from the get go.

Atlas for me.
