Bipod mount adapter?

Building up a training rifle for the kids and trying to figure out bipods. Back in the day it was pretty much Harris or nothing, now theres a plethora.

R700P has the two studs up front but most bipods seem to be using pic rails now. Does anyone make an adapter for studs to pic rail?

How to choose the desired height range for a bipod?

Seekins makes one. There are others as well but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.

I had a sling stud fail during a F-Class match on my Remington 700. Ended up using my range bag as a bipod. Switched to a Pic rail.

Dang, I checked thier website and didnt find that. But with a 2" spacing between studs it wont fit.

I guess but doesn't sound like something he will be worrying about.

ETA: he could also get the best of both and just get a rail and then a stud adapter and still run a Harris. Have that set up on one of my rifles.

The two studs up front: One for the bipod, the other for a sling. For training, decide what the kids need for fundamentals, then build from there. Both Harris and Magpul make bipods that use the sling stud for attachment.

It seems the rail accomodates more current options. I would like to get a good bipod because again, it seems the current school solutions recommend use of bipods under many conditions. Also, I can expend more resources ($) if I can use it on other rifles, so its not just a kids-use item.

Currently considering the Atlas V8 as a mid-priced bipod.

Yea the pic rail is nice.. can put an atlas or harris with qd or throw on a tripod or run slick on a bag

B&T makes different lengths for different stud spacing, and they're a great product.

Might want to look into a TBAC bipod as well.

crabsandfootbal I’ve been needing to purchase a pic rail for a bergara HMR stock. Which of the accu-shot pic adapters is that? They have a 3.35” and a 4”.
