Movie Theater Bird Box

I enjoyed it. My questions are.. where did they come from and why is that entity around and why are people seeing their loved ones before they kick the bucket?

I liked the fact that the main character didn’t name the kids. Guess it’s sorta like naming an animal at the farm that will eventually be slaughtered. You get attached.

I over all liked it. The ending was meh but I too want to know where the hell they come from and why they are making us kill our selves.

Also why are some allowed to see them and live like nothing is wrong.

1) the best part of the movie is all the memes coming out about it. the Office ones in particular

2) I wish they would have shown from a 1st person perspective what these people were actually seeing before they killed them selves.

I think it would have been cooler if they found out the KIDS weren't effected (maybe because they are too young to have real fears yet) and then it was up to the kids to lead Sandra around and kick ass.

It was very much in the style of M. Knight Shyamalan. You never really see the monster. The timeline jumps around and leaves a lot out. I thought it could have been better. Seems like a low budget quick to stream movie.

I watched it last night, and have to agree with the consensus here that the ending left a bit to be desired. Way too many loose ends for me, and while I can suspend my belief in reality for shows like James Bond, I had a harder time with this. You know the big name actors/actresses will last longer, so it's like watching some random yeoman beam down to a planet with Kirk, Spock, Bones, and Scotty.......that other guy is a gonner. Lots of opportunity for character development, but never happened, and how about skipping from the kids birth to 5 years old?
I'll watch the YouTube video from above though, maybe that will fill in some blanks for me.

She say's it herself, "Raised by Wolves". Ever seen wolves interact? Clean and concise with action. Drama and emotion a non element dealing with other pack members. Allows one to get through the heavy course and take care of priorities until trauma has passed. Veterans of said war not acknowledging newbies ring a bell?

My interpretation is the Crazies were able to be used open eyed because they lacked empathy.

Republicans = those with blindfolds trying not to see, but the media makes it hard to ignore our shitty society
Democrats = those who have seen but are too stupid to comprehend and desperately trying to convince others to go down their path of insanity

"...About how white people don't want to see racism." - actually about how the rest of the population doesn't want to see there aren't any black quarterbacks (except when speed is important) or kickers.

I have heard it's about race from others as well - as well as any other event where the race card can possibly be played.

Saw it, was better than a SyFy presents flick but was still kind of hoping to know more by the end. Seems a lot of movies are going this route in the name of artistic interpretation or letting you fill in the blanks.

It’s just lazy writing...

The lady getting into the flaming car was probably the cringiest one for me.

Movie was ok.

Looked through the review from theroot. Never seen that site before but all I can say is WOW...
I guess you really can turn every narrative around to fit the views of ones self...

I’m torn on the ending. Like most here I felt like there should be more but in a way it stayed with the theme of the movie. The unknown is what added an element of fear. It was just an ok movie for me.

it was shit.

all the characters were fucktards with the exception of John malkovich

i had no empathy for any character and spent most of the movie wishing for their deaths....the rapids scene was pure fuckery and the ending sucked balls.
