Is the apparent vertical offset of the scope and FLIR optical axes a problem?

There is an offset and the FLIR PVS-22 is very forgiving when it comes to the objective/ocular offset. Works beautifully.

Re: Black Ops Precision

Since we're all gushing on Mike's rifles, I'll add to the mix... I got to spend a little time up close looking at them and it's just all sorts of beautiful. Finding that level of care in the attention to detail is more than eye opening, they're beautiful.

Just like a deep blue and a well colored piece of black walnut is gorgeous, Mike's rifles have a clean, functional beauty that pairs up with repeatable precision that has few to even claim equivalence, let alone a superior product offering.

Bravo, sir!

(And yes, I'll admit that there may have been dreams of a PERSEUS in my future)

Re: Black Ops Precision

Mike,

Is there any downside of separating the action from the stock? I was thinking about giving my rifle a paint job and am hesitant on "braking the seal".

Thanks,
Kelly

Wow, not sure how I missed this question and you likely have an answer already. No, there's no downside. Rock the barreled action along its length to work the recoil lug out of the bedding. About 1/3 of the way up, it'll come straight up. Don't wiggle it side to side.

Thanks Eric. It was a humbling experience to stand back and look at it when the rifles and pistol was hanging on the wall for the first time....took me eight years to get a booth at SHOT.
