I've been working on this project for just over three years as part of the development of my new Rimfire Repeater Action. We'll be doing the conversions on the Remington 40X Single Shot Rimfire Action as a new addition to our Bolt Action Line. The specs are:

Remington 40XB Action--BlackOps Technologies Controlled Round Feed Repeater Conversion.
18" Krieger Barrel, Threaded 1/2-28
BlackOps Recoil Lug
BlackOps Firing Pin
BlackOps Fire Control System
BlackOps Ejector
BlackOps Bolt Knob
BlackOps EHD DBM System
BlackOps 22LR Magazine (this is the 3D print, not the production version)
BlackOps Trigger
BlackOps SPECTER NV Mount
BlackOps/Manners MCS-T
BlackOps Forend Rail
AFAR Kit
Trademark BlackOps Fit and Finish
BlackOps Catalyzed Epoxy Stock Finish
MilSpec Cerakote

Absolutely fantastic Mike, nice to see the SPECTER NV rail mounted on a rifle as well. Fit and finish looks superb! I am loving that bottom metal as well!

The cost will vary depending on what you're looking for. The cost of the build pictured here is not cheap, as there are quite a lot of custom features that are new to what we're doing.

We will do the Rimfire Repeater to any level you're looking for and the Model 605 barreled action will be available soon as well.

Thanks Guys. Lead time will depend on what you're looking for. Repeater conversions can be done on current barreled actions for placement into a chassis, and won't take long at all, but full builds will run a bit longer.

Thanks Guys and it did take a while. I used this platform to prototype the development of the Model 605, although the Model 605 differs a bit due to quite a few improvements.

The last thing I wanted to do with the conversion is throw a few pieces together and call it original, so I developed the Rimfire Controlled Round Feed and the unique magazine specifically for the conversion and the Model 605.

HOLY HELL, MIKE!!!

I was just saying in a thread yesterday that you and the fine folks at Black Ops are outstanding, but understandably swamped with work, new projects, etc. From the looks of that conversion and all of the incredible attention to the details, fit/finish, etc., not to mention the R&D that went into this project, it is easy to see why you have been so busy!!

Congrats on an incredible job well done!!! I can't hardly wait for the 605 rifles/actions to become available based on the quality I see on the 40XB conversions!!

Mike: Is the BDM inlet proprietary, or similar to others on the market. Would be nice to have option to change stocks with centerfire rifles. (I know, people in hell want ice water!)

As an aside, I am constantly amazed at the ingenuity of folks on this board. Remington has been unable to solve this problem for decades. Firearms genuius.

Great. I held out as long as I could and just sold my 40XB a couple of months ago after giving up on the idea that anyone would market a conversion for magazines.

Thanks ORD. I shot this one again today along with a 20" JAEGER. I'll have more pics to post up tomorrow.

The Model 605 is in the works and you'll see it on here pretty soon.

The DBM inlet is unique to this DBM. The Badger is too small and the Surgeon is too large. The BlackOps DBM will drop into the Surgeon with room to spare, but it easily beds into place.

Thanks Dan and good to hear from you. The conversions will handle 17M2 and 22LR. The Model 605 will handle all four Rimfire chambers.

Thanks Phylo and Sorry it took as long as it did. When I took this project on, it seemed simpler than it was. The machining was no big deal, but the Controlled Round Feed and the Magazine design were key to making it work properly.

If you run across another 40XB, we'll be glad to get one squared away for you.
