I've always used a Mr Heater portable propane heater for those long winter days in the box blind deer hunting. This is a necessity if I want my wife or kids to go with me. Only problem is it's pretty heavy and cumbersome. It takes up a lot of room and it's almost TOO hot. Has anyone ever found a smaller, more portable solution?

Anything like a backpacking stove that will put off enough heat to knock the chill off a box blind with a cracked window? I've done a bit of reading, and seems something like this may do the trick?

I have used the MSR wisperlite for years as my chosen backpack stove but I don't think it would be the best choice for your use.
The smell of burning kerosene might be a bit much for hunting.
I think the alcohol stove you linked would be a better option, I have allways used a buddy heater in the same role but if I were carying it back and forth every time as opposed to leaving it in the blind I would look elsewere.
They also make one similar to what @tnc suggested above called the little buddy heater that is much smaller and more easily portable.

Yeah I’ve used that one too. Look I’m splitting hairs here but that one is still pretty big, way hotter than necessary, and I’m always worried it’s going to get knocked over. I’m really curious of something more associated with a backpacker’s type gear would do the trick.

I think what you are going to find with the backpack type stoves is they are going to be louder than you might find acceptable.
The propane catalytic heaters are very quiet, I'm curious about the one you linked and whether or not it would also be noisy.

Noise isn’t something I considered. I can see where you’re coming from on a “jet” burner backpack stove. There are amazon reviews that say that lamp I linked puts out a good amount of heat. Now I’m wondering how loud it is.

It might be worth while to investigate that before dropping the coin on something you find obnoxiously loud when silence is a priority.

We’re talking about sitting in a fiberglass stand 10’ up in the air with a long view. I guess it doesn’t have to be super quiet, just as long as it doesn’t sound like I’m trying to boil a pot of crawfish up in that bitch. Haha!
