I beat you a Taco next time we shoot (or a beer after) that it was a simple as setting the seater wrong _ sorry we couldn't get you into the last match.

Here is an example of what happens when seating die is too low:

Yup, this is the issue! I just remeasured this area and it comes out to .295/.296. that must be the culprit

Now what do I do with all the brass that has that lip? Can i turn it back down or do I toss and buy new brass?

Turn it out. Trimming will cut it down too short probably.

Unless it’s cheap brass and you don’t have tools to neck turn. Then just toss it

If the bulge is small, you may be able to iron it out by running it through the sizing die.

Brand dependent; If you set your seating die incorrectly, it can make slight contact with the shoulder on some rounds. A tiny amount of contact is almost undetectable and will stop the bolt from closing, even caming closed

I was going to comment this. It will drive you crazy.

all good brother, my schedule has been fucked for making the matches, im dying to get out. these troubleshooting threads are my favorite thing about this forum.
