Bolt lift modded for HOWA?

As the title suggests I'm looking to get a KRG bolt lift and mod it to suit my howa. After speaking to KRG they tell me people have done it before. Just wondering if anyone on here has done it and if so how much was involved.

Why not spend an extra few bucks and get a proper knob installed? A cobbled together plastic knob will probably leave something to be desired.

I was looking for a rubber ball that could fit tightly over the OEM knob, but haven't found a US supplier.

The KRG bolt lifts have been very well received by those that can't or don't want to modify their bolts permanently.

I don't really want to permanently modify the knob and to do so in aus is not a little bit more pricey down here it's a lot more pricey.

I saw the rubber ball on roedales webstore. It'll either be the KRG or that.

As I see you are in Australia, shipping your bolt to the US is a lot more difficult than say the rubber ball or a TRG knob.

If you want to do a permanent mod, I highly recommend Mark Gordon of Short Action Customs. He did both of my Howa bolts and they came out flawless. Not to mention it took 1 week for the entire process! (including shipping)

+1 on Mark Gordon of Short Action Customs, I just received my bolt back from him. He did a terrific job. I dropped it of on Weds. and got it in mail Sat. Great job.
