Bolt won't go all the way back (pic)

For some reason my bolt won't go all the way back. It will go back and push into the safe position, but it will not go all the way to the second hole back where it pushes in to hold the chamber open. It goes right up to it, needs to go another 1/16" - 1/8" to push in, but won't. I've taken it apart and looked at everything, but I can't figure this out. Need help bad!

i had a bolt rifle that this also happened to. i had a bad ammo batch and a primer cratered and stuck into a thread by the breach. it kept the bolt from pushing forward all the way, took a while to see that little guy stuck in there.

what cal. is this? looks like a rimfire. if that's the case, maybe some other obstruction in the receiver???

What happened was I took the sights off when I scoped it. I put the little screws to the peep sight back in to cover up the holes. Now since the peep sight wasn't there the screws went it just a tiny bit farther. Took quite a while to figure that one out cause I was looking at the action so long to see what it was that was blocking. Figured it had to be something in there instead of some damn little screws lol. Well thanks anyway!
