I won't go into detail, but when I originally posted, I'd spoken with him via email, and he was no longer making bore guides at that time. Sounds like he's back in business - but it was correct at the time of posting. An earlier post stated, "Mike got back to me and is unfortunately no longer making bore guides at this point in time". This is not correct. I just spoke to Mike last night and placed an order. He is still very much in business. I post this just in case anyone still thinks Mike is no longer making his bore guides.
No harm no foul.I won't go into detail, but when I originally posted, I'd spoken with him via email, and he was no longer making bore guides at that time. Sounds like he's back in business - but it was correct at the time of posting.![]()
Tyler,Someone sent me bore guides. We moved shops, and I still have those bore guides, but lost the contact.
Since posting last, I have upgraded my 3d printing game to the tops anywhere. I can create some real nice bore guides at real nice prices.
Whomever sent me those guides, if you see this reach out and lets get it rolling!
PMing you! Phone is being weird, will confirm numbers and chat soon.Tyler,
I sent you those boreguides. Called today and left a message and my number. Thanks
They're $75-80, including shipping.Mike still making bore guides? I saw his guides mentioned in a paramount tactical video and seems like people here really like them
I sent an email to him this morning so was just wondering if I should expect a response or not.
also, anyone know what he's charging for them these days? (assuming he's still making bore guides)
Oh yeah, they also make guides for guns not on their list. Gotta call and ask.I own Lucas and Possum Hollow bore guides.
Personally, I like the Possum Hollow bore guides better than the guides with those little extra bushings (Lucas & PMA). Don’t think those bushings do much other than irritate me and add another (small) action to an already unfun process.
You see, the bushings are sized for the rod, not the patch, so you can’t just push the patch through them. They also cover the solvent port. They take a bit of effort to snap in during each pass. A pain, and I don’t think they guide the rod any better.
If you go Possum, call them to have a custom one made with a solvent port. They sell add-on ports through retail, but they have o-rings and are just another thing to leak.

If you call, be warned (my yellow highlights). It’s a small operation. I’ve had much better luck calling, and if they don’t pick up, just call back sometime.
