Fisher & Paykel cooktop started continually sparking.
Should I call a tech to come fix it?
Fuck no! Google "My Fisher & Paykel igniters wont stop"
Bam! An instant redirect to a F&P video telling me how to troubleshoot. Apparently all I have to do is clean the burners. I note one ominous warning "If you can't unscrew the gas tubes they will have to be drilled out".
Won't be my Cooktop, this will be easy. First burner comes apart as planned and is soaking in vinegar.
Second one sure enough fused all together.
Fuck it, ten years, no sense paying someone 1/4 the price of a new cooktop.....lets find out what's made in America.
From @Veer_G S neck of the woods I bought a Blue Star.

Blue Star used to be Garland. My work has an old Garland. It's a beast.
Hoping this cast iron treats me well. 22K BTU should sear steak perfectly.
