Ok movie. I never knew Nemesis Arms made a semi-auto Vanquish.

My mistake. I was talking about the new Bourne Legacy movie. Guess I should fix the title of my post. Lol....

Re: Bourne Ultimatum

Simply awful.

A million ways to extend the Bourne Legacy and they choose the terrible way that they did??!!!

The movie reminded me of the lame Indiana Jones and The Crystal Skulls flick, which was just a money grab if ever there was one.

Two fight scenes and a serious lack of intensity, plus the first hour was extremely slow, even slower than, say, a Detroit native.

People were walking out of the theatre and asking aloud, "what was that about, I'm confused!"

Some people were headed to the counter to get their money back.

Don't waste your money or, more importantly, your time.

Re: Bourne Ultimatum

Watched it with the wife, we both liked it, but it wasn't over the top good. The beginning was sloooow moving. What was that scope??? a countersniper with a NF reticle?

Re: Bourne Ultimatum

I saw it last night with the wife, she said that is was entertainment While I liked it, is really should not nor did it need to be connected with the Bourne Trilogy. While there was a plot, there was no resolution to that plot at all. It's worth a rental on DVD. If you are not expecting a smooth transition from the Bourne movies and can view it as it's own movie, then you might like it at the theater.

Re: Bourne Legacy

We watched it Saturday night. It was good. It was definitely slow in the beginning.

I personally feel like it was nothing more than a set up for future Bourne Movies. It felt like just when it was going to get going, it ended. Definitely a set up for the future.

Re: Bourne Legacy

My son and I watched it Saturday night. I though it was pretty good. Son said it sucked. Should have just waited till it came out on DVD.My.02. That was my first time seeing the nemisis rifle. Been drooling over there sight since.

Re: Bourne Legacy

Me and she-who-must-be-obeyed caught it today and we both enjoyed it. Setup for another, definitely, but that was expected. I like Remmer in action roles and Ed Norton is high up on my list of favorite actors. I thought chase scene was top notch top.

Re: Bourne Legacy

I was ambivalent about the movie when I heard Damon was not going to be the lead. I wasn't expecting the reviews to be on the level of the previous three movies simply because of such a fundamental change (lead character) but after reading the above comments I see none that actually encourage anyone to see it. I need a little more than "I enjoyed it" to motivate me to spend the money theaters charge these days so thanks everyone for your opinion, I think I'll wait for the DVD (assuming they'll be distributing one).

Re: Bourne Legacy

Ok everything else about the movie aside I am NOT the only one here who watched this guy look through the objective lens of the optic which was mounted backwards on the weapon right? And that the lens cap on the eye piece was still closed in a few scenes?????

Re: Bourne Legacy

To me it was the origonal "Bourne" with new characters. Good for DVD but not in the theater.

I can only hope that when they end this series they will have Damon back in to tie everything up.

Re: Bourne Legacy

I liked it. More focus on the training and they actually played the main character as an asset that wasn't smart without his "chems". Also good to see Kenny in it as the Malasian plant manager.

+1

good for DVD rental. hold off on theatre

Re: Bourne Legacy

I liked it.

Take it for what it is. A modern, Hollywood action presentation which means the actors and actresses are marginally good, but cute, the writers are bad so dialogue suffers from lack of thought and obviously, education, the special effects are silly, and consequently the movie relies on appealing to lower human senses like ego and lust to be successful. Art is absent.

I caught a classic black and white the other day with Dick Tracey and was impressed with the clear contrast from modern film, and that was a good thing.

Re: Bourne Legacy

I'm hoping that they wrap up this series soon, so that in the next 10 years or so someone can make a series based on the actual Bourne story, not just loosely adapted from 150 pages midway to the end of the first book.

Re: Bourne Legacy

i went and had seen it the other day, its not that good, there was no real climax in the plot just a lot of stuff blowing shooting and fighting, it was a real disapointment for me..

Re: Bourne Legacy

Seemed to me to be a 2 hour trailer for the next step. I was disappointed with the fight scenes, the "viralling-off" was a little far fetched, and I wasn't sure if the original Jason Bourne was on those meds or not, since the Treadstone guys spoke of taking pills, etc. Also, was all this stuff in this movie going on at the same time as the last one? Was a little confusing. I may need to watch it again when it comes out on video.

And if you could viral a dude off and make him super smart, why wouldn't the doctor or anyone else 'in the know' viral themselves off and make themselves even more smarter/stronger. Seems like a no-brainer (pun) to me...

Why no viral yourself a 10 foot dick while you're at it.

+1, otherwise it was the best of the sequels

Re: Bourne Legacy

Well I guess it's true, Counter Sniper scopes are used by the government......Hahaha, just kidding.

My wife hates to see movies like this with me cause I'm always pointing out mistakes. Oh well, she'll get used to it I guess.

Agreed
Some don't like it because the direction its going. But the action is better than the 1st one.

Re: Bourne Legacy

Derp derp derp derp.

It seems they just don't show him working the bolt, but change angles between shots. Still that made the movie lame for me.

Scope is on right, but the caps are on.

Re: Bourne Legacy

I caught this movie On Demand last night and honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Rachel Weisz isn't my favorite actress, but Bourne flicks never have hot chicks anyway. As mentioned above, the gun stuff was pretty horrible. Still, the chase scene was good, and I liked the fact that the movie looped with the final Matt Damon episode. Eh, I've seen much worse.

Re: Bourne Legacy

Damon and this new guy are both anti gun. Saw the new guy in a celebrity anti gun commercial. Makes all other discussion of the movie moot for me. I enjoyed the first two Bourne movies and then saw the hypocritical bastard Damon talking about how he was against guns “I actually hate guns. They freak me out." Same for Wahlberg, Arnold, Connery and Stallone.....and more. I can do without any of my money going to these pricks.

Re: Bourne Legacy

When the movie ended I found myself asking "What? Thats it?" First half was interesting to me, second half felt weird, perhaps rushed.

Yep - Counter-Sniper scope on a LaRue mount. NF MLR reticle.
