Make sure you post pics when you get it setup. I'd like to see the rimfire hunter on an FV-SR since I'm thinking about going that route.

I put an SS Evolution on mine (with thier bottom metal and trigger gaurd) and was able to use my action screws from the plastic stock. I just had to unscrew the "lugs" on the receiver a bit to get the screws to catch. Worked fine and stays tight.

How does it balance? Wondering where the balance point will be with the shorter and lighter FV-SR

Does the Boyds rimfire hunter make the Savage feel like a full rifle LOP?
Thats the only thing I freaking hate about the Savage rifles. Barreled actions are good, stocks are shitty as hell.
It's either the Rimfire hunter and have it bedded or an expensive McMillan for the one I'm working on.
I'm not a very big fan of wood and would have to bed it with the recent cracking issues w/ Boyds tacticool stock.

i really like my tacticool stocks from boys i have one on my mark II and just got my new one in for my 93 17 its off getting threaded and ill put some pics up when it gets back
