I can't answer that question until Monday as that is when mine is due to arrive. I have a Boyds Thumbhole on my .300 whisper as well as my howa supreme varminter and am very happy with their laminate stocks. I was going to go with the tacticool for my TR but chose the hunter instead. The TR is missing it's stock because I transferred an FV-SR into it, looks great with the 16" threaded barrel.

I put one on my FV-SR, I like it because it has a fullsize feel to it and rides bags pretty well, Plus it handles extremely well offhand with the shape of the forend and palm swell.

Mine just came out of the box, I really like the feel of it. It seems like I need to clean up the inletting on the bottom a bit but other than that if fits perfectly.

How is the cheek weld on that stock?
I really like the looks of it

I have the DIP trigger guard. After I fix the inletting to sit flush the factory screws will work fine. The trigger guard came with the rear screw so you are covered there and I took the screw holding the magazine metal off of the factory stock for the front. I already have a front plate I made out of 1/8" carbon fiber for my TR so i used that.

Start haunting their site, get on the mailing list. With christmas coming up, they'll have some good sales. Got my BTV stock for $50 on a one day sale from them ...

I actually just bought a Boyd's Tacticool stock for my Marlin model 60... online it said there is some minor fitting that would need to be done.

Ha when I got it I found out that you have to inlet the entire length of the forend. I ended up pulling out my hand held grinder and just kind of made a big long ditch for my tube to fit, finished the front with a file. Now that its on I love it.. but its a little bit of work first.
