Anyway, I want to make sure I made/make a final comment here as a responsible forum member (especially a new one), as well as give props to the company. PRIOR to making my purchase decision, I reached out to the company and talked to them at a level I felt was rare in this age. IN fact, that personal attention helped me decide they were the way to go.
AFTER, it was no different here. Within a few hours of me calling them to address this complaint, I got a response that it looked like the guys in shipping didn’t give the barrel a final wipe down or missed that, and it’s NOT normal to see a complaint like this since the barrel is either black, or it gets cleaned up before shipping. Specifically it was a stain from them putting the barrel into the inlet port of the bullet trap that they use to test fire their rifles. Of course they told me how to address it.
Anyway, my point is that although it was a mistake, they care, they are responsive, and I felt they will address this from happening again. It would be irresponsible to not mention that level of service and leave a post hanging, although as I said above, with the right cleaner she cleaned right up.
BTW, I put 80 rounds through her so far, and its fantastic. Now, I am so happy with my decision!
