So I'm getting tired of annealing my brass manually. Doing 50 pieces to test out different bullets and loads is fine, but when I find the right load, it's a pain in the ass to anneal 300 pieces at a time.

I've seen services offered here where places will anneal your brass for you. Does anyone have any experiences to share, good or bad? What's the cost, turnaround time, etc...?

I'm trying to get a cost comparison vs. purchasing an annealing machine.

So, I'm getting mixed signals on this Killshot guy... :p

Seriously though, seems like a good deal. I'm going to do some math on how much I'd spend shipping brass back and forth vs. just buying/building my own annealing rig.

My rule for borrowing something is, if twice, buy it, the same principle could be applied here. I have no idea of your financial situation, but if a guy bought a machine and didn't like it, they seem to sell for the price of new, so a guy wouldn't be out a hell of lot.

I bought a Giraud, with the 2-3 times a year I break it out, it will never pay for itself, but when I want it, it's convenient.

A year ago I went in 1/2's with another shooter on a Bench-Source machine.

For me and a few others locally, this was the best idea. There is a group of three of us, we don't shoot enough to justify buying ONE machine apiece, but we all live close by and trust each other that we went thirds on a Giraud. It stays with one of us and when we have enough brass that needs annealing, then we get it done. Consumables we split evenly.
