...between big precision rifles and carbines.

looking for a class to help with this. i've taken a LRR course with a .308 bolt gun and a coupla carbine classes where 95% of the action was within 100 meters.

does anyone have recommendations for a carbineish class that deals with extended ranges a bit more, preferably with some non-std firing positions as well?

thanks a lot.

Re: bridging the gap...

I have been thinking about doing a semi-auto only course, but that is mostly geared towards 308, not 5.56.

The 5.56 classes at Rifles Only are shot out to 600 but those classes on the civilian side are far and few between.

Doing a Precision / Mid Range Semi-Auto class is easy, it only takes an interest and about 10 people to make happen.

I will say in our military classes where the guys bring an SPR / Mk12 we shoot those out to 800 yards. So we do it alot, but we haven't dedicated a class to this.

Sounds like an SDM course would appeal to you.
