there was no bright line above case web to warn you of impending doom so said case is lubed & sized but only the head comes out. deer season is hours away. no time to send to die maker & no one near has that drill& pull it kit. not to despair, go to your car tool section (or a neighbor/brother-in-law) to find an appropiate sized E-Z out for case interior diameter & remove the ball insert w/decapper. with small wrench imparting a counter-clock-wise pressure, the stuck partial case will seem to fly out. put everything together & you are back in business in a short time and Bambi's dad better watch out! If broken case extracter wont work on the rifle, give this gunsmithing trick a whirl. may need to adapt an extension (or KISS, just a rod & duck tape will do it) just need to break the binding tension. keep your powder dry.

Use a coarse threaded tap. Screw into the brass not into the chamber wall. Soak it with some Kroil.hold the tap with vice grips and hit the vice grips with a hammer.

If it doens not come out put the die in a lathe and releive the case enought until it releases. Usually just doing the web area will work.
