    Hey, for those of you that backordered Pmags from Brownell's, have you gotten anything? I'm trying to get an idea on when, or if, they are getting a handle on this. For instance, I placed an order for .308 Pmags (what I'm interested in personally) on December 23rd but haven't seen anything. Has ANYONE gotten a backorder for these mags from Brownell's yet?

    Please include:

    What you ordered.
    When you placed the order.
    When you got the order.

    Cool, hopefully I'll be getting something soon.

    Edit: I just called them, usually they tell me they don't know anything and can't tell me anything. Today the lady said that my order was scheduled to ship first or second week of February... We'll see, I sure hope so.

    On the 22nd I ordered 10 30rnd black Pmags, 5 308 Pmags and 4 BX25's. Nothing has shipped yet.

    I was told Pmags 1st week in feb, 308 pmags mid to late feb and BX25's April.

    The 23rd of Dec., and yesterday they told me it would be first or second week of Feb. This is for 30 .308 Pmags. I got the same email everyone else did, but the first time I got a date for this particular order was yesterday when I called.

    Did you order by single quantity or the ten pack?
    The reason I ask is my order went in on 12/17 for the ten pack in 308 and still backordered.

    Talked to the lady at Brownell's about this, she said they were waiting on a memo as to why this was happening, some company is pissed about it. Said they should have a fix for it soon, that orders are indeed supposed to go out first come, first serve. Guess you lucked out there, huh? Wish they sent mine early...

    The lady I talked to today, she had a little more detailed update. She said they'd be getting shipments from Magpul in the last week of Jan. through the second week of Feb. to help them catch-up on, and fill backorders. She said they plan on filling most backorders by 2nd week Feb., may take to the end of Feb., and then once they are all caught up, they plan on taking new orders as soon as the end of Feb. or early March. We'll see. But Magpul did say Brownell's was a dealer they take care of, and that was the best place to have your backorder, so I sure hope so.

    Sen. Frankenstein (D, CA) has one hell of a wish list this time around, and I'd like to get this final shit in order before it (hopefully doesn't) gets passed.

    I bought a SHITLOAD of these, like 50 or more, but from a contract over-run before Brownell's was selling to civilians (apparently, as they were at a surplus store in the wrap during this time). The brown follower GI Brownell's mags are the 3rd gen GI mags, the newest ones they are replacing the green follower mags with. The brown follower is supposed be always straight, to never tilt, no matter what, and looks to be self lubricating like the last one. Brownell's is, or was, the sole manufacturer of these 3rd gen GI mags.

    At around $8, maybe a bit more for some of them, I couldn't complain. They work great. I bought these about a year ago I think. If you like GI mags over Pmags, these are the ones to get, provided they have the brown follower in them.

    But for me, it'll be these .308 Pmags all the way --KAC mags cost $150 each on a good day!

    I am looking forward to the 10 round 308 Pmag.
    I am also looking forward to the first descent action that can feed from these.
    Wouldn't that be nice?
    Easier said than done though.

    The brownell's aluminum magazines are good.
    For people who love the straight twenty round magazines, theirs has the feed-lips that round the corners at the rear, just like all modern 30 round magazines (but unlike all straight aluminum 20's).
    This provides a lot of rigidity to the feed-lips, helping them stay within spec under load, plus they're more durable.
    And they're like 11/ea and they haven't suffered in the panic so bad either.

    I ordered

    10x Magpul M3 30rnd mags
    2x 10 packs of Magpul 20rnd .308 mags

    I placed the order on 12/21 and received order confirmation stating they were back ordered. I have been checking the online account and pending orders to see their status never changed until Friday night when the enitre order disappeared from the orders pending section!! Called today and was told there was a glitch and my magazines went from *Backordered to Notfiy!!! Holy hell man! After several calls and an hour on the phone I was basically told this was a glitch on their side, I would be notified and have 7 days to claim the stock being held, but that my items would not automatically ship... I knew my father ordered some of the same mags on 12/20, told him to double check if he saw the same as me and report back, his too are missing and presumed FUBAR. What is to say I will ever be notified!?

    Although the reps were very nice on the phone they did say they could not manually enter the SKU's again without changing the order number and I losing my place in line.

    Anyone else seeing anything like this

    Same thing just happened to me!

    Order was placed on the 21st of December for 25 window Gen3 30s.

    Talked to them this morning and my pmag back order was good to go, then I get an e-mail saying that it was changed to notify, who knows what is going on at Brownells.

    I have receive an email from one of my dealers that is very respected here in NC. Ed's Guns in Southern Pines. He sent me a email explaining what he found out at the big texas show for dealers. Ed said that the MagPul rep told him that they are 1,000,000,000 mags behind. I deleted the email, but he has a web site under Ed's Gun. Click on the forum page then go to discussions. It may be up there. He also listed other companies that are working as hard as they can. Remington, Ruger, etc. Obama has done more for gun sales than the NRA ever could. BCG for AR's are non existant per some big makers.

    I called Brownells today just to check in on a few orders, one of them being for some 30 round Gen3 windowed PMags. The lady on the phone told me that the backorder on these is 54,000 right now.

    I also have some of their standard USGI mags w/ CS springs on the list, but those are 123,000 backordered still.

    No estimated shipping date on either...
