Rifle Scopes Build enough...

I have been quite happy as of late due to the amount of new products hitting the marketplace in the tactical optics arena. There are options coming out of everywhere to fit all kinds of specific roles. Its a great time to be a tactical shooter!

However, one thing I am not so excited about, is it seems that nearly every time a solid product is announced... upon launch, there isn't even close to enough of them to meet demand. If you don't "know somebody," the chances of you getting one are slim to none. So you get to wait months before actually being able to even purchase one... and only then if you've been on "the list" for the better part of a year.

Sure, I can be a nagging bitch... but this trend in the industry has been getting on my nerves as of late. I'm thankful for the innovation and the products that are "coming" but I would really be happy if I could actually buy one in the foreseeable future.

I went with the "not the latest & greatest" S&B PMII and couldn't be happier. There are lots of products available that will serve our needs and desires! Anthony

Keep in mind, if demand outweighs supply then the companies make more money. Not that (most) companies don't deserve a good price for the (quality) products they've spent time developing. All too often we see new stuff sold for two arms and a leg only to find out it's crap. Not to mention the sheer number of people in the hobby has probably grown rather quickly the last decade or two. Buy hey, someone's got to be the guinea pig and take the first plunge; might as well be the guys with the big checkbooks.

I agree with you. At times it's annoying but that's how the game goes. Working on an enlisted man's budget, I've come to terms with the fact that I'm either going to get hand-me-downs or wait quite some time before I can get the latest and greatest. I feel your pain brother...
