Hello everyone. I have decided to build a no frills A2 style AR. For nostalgia purposes, I thought it would be cool to build it as close as possible to the one I used through boot camp. Since those were manufactured by FN, I figured I would go that route. I live just a few miles away from the Creedmoore Sports warehouse, and they sell stripped FN A2 style uppers. My goal is to keep as many of the parts as possible FN. However I read somewhere online that FN is forbidden to sell rifles/parts to the public, and if one does find any of their stuff for sale, then it is probably stolen or its fake. I wanted to ask you guys first if that was true before I go any further with this...because if it is then I'll just use stuff from Colt

Maybe not illegal but fake?

Thats just something I read on another forum and wanted to see if it was BS before I bought anything.
