Which is more accurate,CCI's Mini mag or CCI's Mini mag hollow point? I want to take some jack rabbits out at slightly over a 100yrds. Any in put would be great. Thanks
The answer is yes, no or maybe. Could even possibly be.
It's not possible to say which is going to be more accurate without your trying them. If there was two different quality levels of ammunition the it would be possible to guess and have a good chance at being correct.
The difference is not likely to create a miss with one that would be a hit with another. The important thing is to use a bullet that is better suited to do the work when it arrives on scene. For game, that's the hollowpoint, for the elusive paperbeast, it's the solid tip.
You don't get a lot if any expansion with most HP .22rf ammunition at that range or more. Accuracy is more far more important. Better to have a decent head or chest shot than gut or hind hit with a HP.
If you can find accurate HP ammunition then you have the best you can get but solids tend to be more accurate.
The standard mini-mags are very accurate in my gun. I always try for headshots so Im gonna use them. just like with almost any gun its about shot placement
