Bullet weight & twist rate

I hope this question doesn't sound too lazy a question but can someone tell me the relationship between bullet weight and twist rate. I'm curious about the general rule like for 6mm 1 in 8 twist barrel. Generally speaking for a given case a fast twist is for lighter bullets and a slower twist is for heavier bullets?

you have it backwards. The faster the twist, the heavier bullet that can be shot.
