Hunting & Fishing Bumper crop Acorns

I live in Austin Tx an i've notice this year we have had a ton of acorns falling off the trees. I'm sure there will be a lot of fat deer around here. I'm wondering if the bumper crop is just here in Austin or is it through out the state? Anyone else notice??

NE PA has been doing very well in acorns. Deer are fat and I can't wait for the season to open, the squirrels are all tubby and I've bagged my largest squirrel ever this season.

Acorns are going crazy up here too. The deer aren't really coming in to the corn right now that's for sure.

Southern middle Tennessee is covered up with acorns and hickory nuts. When one hits you it feels like you have been hit with a coconut, hard hat area!

Western North Carolina is loaded with acorns this year. Some people say that means a bad winter is on the way, what do you guys think?

We can bait 'em with corn here in SC. but they are on the acorns right now.
Pretty good acorn crop it appears.

Connecticut and all of the Northeast is loaded with acorns this year. Falling like crazy. Deer don't have to move around too much which isn't good.
