Delay Announcement April 3
Thank you for your interest in and support of our new AR-332 Prism Sight which we announced in our catalog and web site as “Coming in April 2009.” As happens with many new and complex products, we have experienced some delays in bringing the product into full production. It is our best estimation at this time that we will complete a short production run in mid May and a larger production run by early June. The launch of production of the AR-332 sight is our number one priority and all resources are focused on this product. The initial demand for this product is considerable and we are doing everything possible to ramp up our supply chain and production to service the demand. Update June 30
The delivery estimations we made back in April didn’t come true. We’ve experienced an additional delay due to an abnormality in the optical projection of the reticle which has set us back some 6 – 7 weeks while it was looking like only a 2-3 week additional delay when the problem surfaced in early April. The remedy required new tooling of the reticle, new prisms, the etching of the new reticle onto the prisms, assembly, and testing. At this time we anticipate a short production run in early July, a much larger production run in early August and another large production run in mid August. Each production run will be allocated to our dealers who have placed orders with us. Please be patient with our dealers as this item is in very high demand and very short supply initially. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience these delays have caused you. No one is more anxious to deliver this product than those of us at Burris. Thank you again for your business and patience.
