Rifle Scopes Burris TAC30 vs. Vortex Viper PST? worth the $$$?

Would you buy the Burris TAC 30, or a Vortex Viper PST, both 1-4x?


Is the vortex worth the extra money???

the only reason I am hassitating is because the vortex i can get in milrad, but will I be making adjustments enough on a 1-4x to justtify it?

this is going on a colt 6720, so i dont want an "ok" optic on the gun and not the "best"

i know im not gettin a nightforce or s&b, but should i cut it short, I can get a 10/22 with the extra i spend on the vortex

i was dead set on the vortex pst 1-4, but after reading more and more, i feel like its not worth the extra money.

BUT - the way I am, i always buy the right thing the first time, so I dont want to buy the burris and be wishing i spent the money and got the vortex



anyone ever own both? is the burris a great optic?



any thoughts or comments from those of you who have been through this would be appreciated, thanks

they are both pretty nice, but you are the one who really has to answer this...

do i want adjustable turrets and a reticle I can use to range?

do i want capped turrets with a hold over based reticle?

how about this, I see your in New Orleans, take a ride over to Hammond when you can and we'll get you behind both, let you handle both and see which one you like better.

so i stopped by outdoor outfitters friday.

i talked to a guy named lee. very helpful, and knowledgeable

after looking through both, i see why everyone talks about the vortex, the reticle is set up better, the glass is better, and i like the warranty

they had a lot of nice high end optics i was able to put my hands on and actually look through, instead of going by hear say online.

thanks for the help fellas, will def be buying from y'all in the near future, thanks for the help

and i would highly recommend anyone going there
