Bushing size for Redding Type s full length die

I just bought a bunch of new Winchester 223 brass to reload for the wife's AR-15 and need to order dies to start reloading .223. I normally run Forster dies but I can't find any so I was going to give Redding a try after searching on here and seeing they are highly recommended. What size bushing do I need to order?

What is the brass? Better yet, have you measured the thickness of the brass on the neck wall?

It's Winchester brass and no I haven't measured the thickness. I have no clue with the bushing dies as far as how much neck tension you would want.

aside the caliber,whatever the answer,buy 5 of them in their increasing sizes,with your actual size of choice in their middle, being that not even you can count on the same brass brand /batch/necks/bullets,etc.
don't ask me how I know...

FWIW, I've got a .247 in mine. Seems to work on multiple flavors of brass so far.

To get started, I measure the outside of the neck on a loaded cartridge and subtract 2 thou. Maybe want to be a little tighter for a gas gun. Subtract 3 thou?

Yep this. With a semi auto I would go 3 thou.

FWIW, I've got a .247 in mine. Seems to work on multiple flavors of brass so far.

I'm running a .247 for the majority of my .223 brass as well. Adequate neck tension for the semi-autos as well. For Lapua brass in my bolt gun however, I'm running a .251.

That is a good range for the winchester brass you will be using.
