Bushing sizes for 260 Rem Lapua brass and 130 berger VLD'S??

Hi all,

Like the title says, I'm trying to figure out what size bushings I need to order for 260 Rem Blue Box Lapua brass and Berger VLD's. I haven't ordered the components yet so I can't measure for myself. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated. Looking for .0025 to .003 neck tension I believe.

I use a .291 bushing for the lapua 260 brass and berger 140's and that gives me a .002 tension, if you want .003 tension use a .290 bushing.
my loads measure .293 by the way, hope this helps

My loaded rounds measure .294 with lapua brass. My .291 bushing makes my brass .289-.290 for some reason. I either need to get a .292 bushing or start using the button. Unfortunately you will probably have to experiment with different sizes. I have a full length Forster die I had honed to .291 and That is the main die I use for my 260 with lapua brass, gives just enough neck tension and a slight shoulder bump without the donut.

Get a Lee Collet die.
It sizes the bore the same regardless of case wall thickness.

Thanks for the replies, that's exactly what I needed. I grab bushings from .290-.292

I use a Lee collet die and my necks are .293 consistently. Neck tension is very consistent too. I have tried the other methods, Lee works best for me.
