If you want one, I suggest you enlist into the military and somehow manage to get into a unit that will be using the ACR when remington starts their distribution.

What in the monkey hell are you talking about?
How do you know it's phenomenal? Nobody owns one yet.
And out of curiosity, what military unit is beng issued or is planned to be issued this particular piece of vaporware? Enlighten us.

On paper, its a phenomenal weapon system... I'm allowed to pre-judge the product, especially since we won't be able put our hands on one for months to come and there has been hype about the product for years.
As far as the military distribution, I don't know of any specific unit that has plans to be issues the ACR. I doubt it will be any time soon, but the fact that Remington (opposed to Bushmaster) is producing the weapon for 'government sales' tells me that they will likely sell them to the govt. --- the military. Now the trick is to get the govt. to spend money on the system... which, in our current political state, might take a while.
"Made in the USA for government sales..."

I was being very sarcastic when I made the comment about enlisting in the military to use an ACR... simply pointing out the fact that Bushmaster is being stupid by making the weapon nearly impossible to obtain and put it at a ridiculous price-point. If you want to be 'realistic', it could take just as long for the military to start using remington's ACR as it would for the BM version to hit full-scale production and come down in price... time will tell.
