based on Horus's past warranty rep I guess it really doesn't matter cuz you won't really get help from them if it goes down.

Hopefully Bushnell will be taking care of any warranty work.

Let me clarify the warranty situation. Any consumer returns will be handled by Bushnell. The same warranty that we afford to any of our Elite products are also afforded to the DMR/HDMR scopes. Hope that clears up the confusion a little bit.

Just so you know where I am speaking from on this, I am the riflescope product manager for Bushnell. Long time "lurker" on here and try to help out where I see the need. I'm not on here all the time, so some questions to me may go unanswered for a few days, but I will get back to you.

I think when it comes out in june with the H59 or that TRemOR retical, it's supposed to retail around $1500. Anyone else read that?

$1500 retail is what I was told when I played with a prototype at the Cup.

Called Horus today and Maria answered. Inquired if they were going to offer the promo to LE and she said, yes. Emailed proper info, called back and got her again. Maria said the scope would be here on Monday.

Guess I was one of the lucky ones to get someone to answer the phone. Oh yea, I spent my $900 also.

Hmmm... at least with a 30 mm tube and 50 obj, i needed high or extra high rings on a flat top. Not sure if it changes alot since its a 34 mm tube - i've just ordered some 34mm rings for my larue lt104 - so i'm hoping it's high enough for my flattop. There's a thread about how to calculate what the correct ring height should be depending on your scope specs somewhere here.

I don't bother dialing in the scopes I have with the horus reticles in them, so I dont think the amount of elevation is a huge concern when they made this scope.

Just to clear it up - i just spoke with the guy at horus... it's meant to be a minium adjust 13 from center windage and elevation. The one he had actually had 6 full turns, stop to stop, which is actually 30 mils total. So they said they are going to clear that up on their website.

For what its worth, I liked this scope when I saw it at SHOT, so I will get one to look at next month (with a Mil-Dot reticle). I will be able to compare it to some of the big boys since I am doing an article on Steiner, S&B, Razor HD and Premier Light Tactical. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just got mine and opened today! now i just need my 34mm larue lt104 rings to come in. It's a beefy scope - the clicks are extremely close to what my nightforce NXS feels like. I like the locking turrets too!

The turrets are pretty massive actually. Really wide. The parallax knob is somewhat stiffer than my nightforce, and way stiffer to turn than my leupold's parallax. But the knobs definitely have more of a space between clicks than say my mark 4. Like i said, it feels closer to what my nightforce feels like. I did look through it - it's cloudy here today, but i'd say it's as clear as my leupold. I'll take a look through my nightforce and my bushnell to see how it compares. Can't mount it yet until the rings get here

oh - and they did include an ARD with it too. I do think the scope is the normal size, it's the turrets that are placed further ahead, with the ARD on it, it look more like a traditional scope i think.

- oh yeah sorry - sunshade, not ARD, don't know why i even said that - i think was looking on the usoptics website for an ARD killflash that would fit my nightforce..

I apologize for the poor quality pics, my cell phone was all I had available. The ocular bell on these is really long, and it puts mine farther back than I'd like. I may have to swap to an extended base to push it out further forward.

The scope tunnels from 3.5 to about 4 power, not a huge deal. You can barely see the reticle at that power anyway.
I'm reserving judgement for now, but when I dialed the magnification all the way up it got a little hazy, from about 18 power up to 21. We'll see, it may have just been the pollen, etc in the air.
The turrets pull out almost 1/2" to unlock, revealing a series of hashes for revolutions, like Leupy M1 turrets. Not a lot of resistance between clicks, but enough to feel it set into place. Definitely not audible. Mine didn't come with an ARD, but did include a 4" sunshade and bikini caps.

Well I shot my to 1000 yds. today on my 260 AI. I agree the glass does have a little haze on the higher end, but not bad considering the price. The side focus is tight and does not have any noticeable backlash.

I'm still undecided on the hole MIL thing. Its had to convert from moa NP-R1.

If I had to buy one scope today it would be this one. Unfortunately, I am no longer on Active Duty so I don't qualify to do so.

"This scope", is by and large a Bushnell scope and it's being covered warrenty wise by the excellent people at Bushnell. The Bushnell "tactical department" is really kicking ass these days and taking care of us shooters. If you qualify, I'd recommend you jump on this while you still can.

And if you don't like what you get, you can always sell it to me ...

I'm just worried I can't utilize a H58 like I could a mildot. looks cluttered at the bottom. could be nice for holdover though. especially in a firefight for someone like me who won't have the time to dial things in, coudl be useful, and I could take it on a deployment with me

I don't like their 'quick' ranging style though. it has those hashmarks uptop, but it's designed for a 12" target. is it made for baby midgets? they should have designed them around a 60" target if they want us to use this overseas.

No offense, but even though I'd love to buy that extra scope, you have to have at least 100 posts on the Sniper's Hide before you can sell anything here. 100 good posts, not "LOL" type posts. Gives us a chance here to feel you out and get an understanding of what sort of person you are. If all was good, I'd be knocking down your door trying to buy the scope.
