I had a chance to get my hands on one to check out in person..
I have to say very nice. It looks like Bushnell is really bringing
there A game with this one. It was like holding a round brick..
I am very tempted to switch over from my pre zero stop NSX
for one of these with the G2DMR..
I am a big fan of the razor but that hideous color is a deal breaker

I am glad to have read this. I am planning to go to my local store tuesday next week to see one in person myself as I am just not happy with my current optic on my SPR.

They seem to have good reviews for their price point.

I have a atacr and used my friends dmr g2. Like the bushnell a lot. Nightforce needs to make the atacr ffp. Yeah I know the beast is. That damn thing is fugly. I'd buy a S&B for that much

I have 3 of them and they are great scopes. Glass imo is as clear as my Nightforce NXS 5.5-22X50 scopes and tracking is spot on and I really like the G2 reticle Only down side is the lack of a zero stop and illuminated reticle which I never use. Only time will tell if it is as robust as the NF scopes. But it's a hell of a scope for half the money of my Nightforce scopes and I like them much better than my 2 Vortex Viper PST's FFP scopes.

Got the ERS , XRS and a few NF NXS's 5.5x22x56.
NightForce is lighter , has illumination , and is basically tough as a nickel steak.
ERS - is heavier, but IMO , has a little bit better light transmission for making long shots at dark ( hunting )
XRS - is the STUFF. With it and the fast focus eye piece, reticle being ffp , ( all the same as the ERS ) it will do whatever you need it to do. I also like the fact that that setting the scope for " your eyes" is ALOT easier than the NF because the ocular on the NF has to completely loosened up then retightened. Something that the XRS and ERS make look easy.
I have my XRS on a .300 win mag build I had done for elr shooting with 230 bergers. It's not given me a single issue. The only thing I DON'T like is the weight. Those damned scopes are HEAVY. But all in all, I've never had ONE of my NightForces fail me. Bushnells are less than a year old , so time will tell!!

why not get the razor and paint it?

The razor is a fantastic scope and a great value. I dont get why people cry about the color so much. I look THROUGH my scopes, not at them

Would you buy a silver Ferrari? But you buy it for the performance only right?

Nothing wrong with picking an optic that is of high quality AND looks good to you as the buyer. If vortex does not offer the quality AND color he wants he can find it in another manufacturers product line.

I must be off, I love the look of the scope

You are not off. I like the razor color as well.

My point is that if it's not exactly what you want then why buy it. He can get a great quality scope in black with another manufacturer. Hence this thread asking about the bushnell.

In my opinion vortex would do even better if they offered a black version. Come to think of it I cannot name one other company that sells a scope that is not offered in black. People like options. When you take away option you start losing customers to other companies that have similar products with more options. This thread is a prime example of that.

I went from a Leupold Mark 4 to a Bushnell ERS G2 after some recommendations from some team mates. I was extremely pleased and impressed with the scope. Can't beat front focal and mil/mil reticles, and after a great class from Tom Fuller at the Bushnell Brawl, the zero stop on the scope is awesome as well. So impressed I bought another ERS for another build and waiting on a new LRHS for my 'tOBR. Go Bushnell and you won't be let down.

I have a DMR G2 and a HDMR Tremor2, I love them both. I also have tested the hell out of a different DMR G2 that I no longer have. All 3 track perfectly over many test across the adjustment range and magnification range. IMO the glass is not the best (S&B) but it is damn good and does not leave me wishing for more. I don't really have to have a ZS and don't use illumination so that's not a problem for me. I have owned 2 Razor HD and they are great but I like the DMR better. I also have owned many NXS scopes and love the hell out of them but the SFP is a problem for me, so until NF produces a F1 in higher mag the DMR/HDMR gets my vote. Good kit...
