Rifle Scopes Bushnell HDMR issue

So, i have a Bushnell HDMR that has some play in the parallax knob. I am debating on sending it for warranty repair/replacement, but if they replace it, what will they replace it with. I love the scope and it is still functional, but the 1/8 turn slop in the knob is bothering me. has anyone sent in an HDMR for work that was replaced and if so, what did you receive back?
 
1/8” is excessive. Some play is normal as I have experienced it in several scopes. You shouldnt feel more than a bump if rocking back and forth. Anymore than that is too much. Up to you if its worth sending back if it is functional.
 
I have sent one other scope back and got a completely different series. I previously sent in an old exposed turret SFP mil scope and received a Bushnell Nitro SFP in MOA. I'm worried that i will send in a HDMR and get back something of lower quality, considering the HDMR is no longer in production.
 
Have you tighten your scope mount screws on this time, when that happend?
If scope mount screws are too tight, the mechanish that do fine tune the parallax is not moving freely, might cause that.
My friend NightForce had that, guy did not read the manual on ring tightening Nm.

They're not going to send you a lower tier optic if you send in an Elite Tactical.
 
When I sent in my lrtsi they sent me a dmr2 in return since they didn’t have any lrtsi on hand at the time. And they were more than accommodating when I had them take it back and give back an lrtsi when they could a week or two later.
 
Just got off the phone with bushnell customer support, not happy. Apparently once a product sku is discontinued they no longer support warranty on that product, they offered me $150 credit toward purchase of a Hdmr2. When I quoted the warranty card to the rep, she said "this is all I can offer you". Gotta say I'm not fucking impressed with that answer.

They will be mailing my scope back to me.

I‘d be running that one all the way to the top of the Bushnell food chain. That doesn’t sound right at all...

That doesnt sound right, in fact that sounds like the opposite of every thing Ive heard or experienced from them. I would call them back and ask to speak to someone else. Then ask for the manager. I hope this isnt a new line in the sand for them.

I’ve been a big Bushnell fan, but that is bullshit. There is someone here that is “connected” over there that might be able to help. Anyone remember who that is?

@spife7980 contact stopped what he was doing and honored the elite tactical warranty. I can't speak for everyone there, but that dude is solid. He is getting a Hdmr2 out to me 2nd day air Monday. I will write this up to an uninformed/unaware rep. 2nd time around was deffinately a different story. Thank you @spife7980, I owe you a beer sir.
