Rifle Scopes Bushnell LRHS or Leupold / Leupold Questions

For about $400 more I can get a the VX6HD4-24x52 illuminated over the LRHS 3-18x44 non illuminated or get the VX6HD 3-18x50 for less than that. I don't like the fact that the VX6 is second focal plan and the reticles kind of suck but this is going to be for hunting 90% of the time. Both scopes are light. Not sure if the VX6HD has better glass or not.
Or I could spend a little more and get the MK6 3-18 non illuminated but again this is primarily going to be hunting and I don't really want to spend all my money on a scope.
Does anyone know what power the second focal plane the MOA reticles are set to on the VX6 4-24?
Anyone have experience with the Leupold Impact Reticles?

The Leupold vx6hd 3-18 with the impact reticle is a very good scope.
If you dial a lot though get a Mark 6 3-18.

The 4-24 scope can be a problem being a 2nd focal plane reticle.
I dislike a 2nd focal plane over 18x.

It looks like the MOA reticles are set for the max power. As far as light gathering is the 34mm tube going to help with that?
