How far out are we from these being available? Who is making them?
Can't say for sure as they are still being tested and intial production will be limited to a few of the more popular sizes. Final product will be flat black hardcoat anodized and should be priced under $15 shipped conus. Hopefully within a few months.
I got tired real fast of those piece of crap breaking all the time and I don't need anything I need to babysit to make sure they last. I tried a set of those bikini scope covers and after a year they are on all my scopes held in place with a black zip tie to the scop tube, never lost or broke one, isn't even a worry anymore and they are super cheap.
cheers.
Hey guys, not to resurrect a dead thread but I still haven't found any good flip up covers. Any updates on the aluminum ones mentioned earlier?
I just finished a new coat on my rifle and I would like to get some flip ups that aren't complete crap.
Hey guys,
I threw on some Butler Creek flipups for my Vortex PST for a course last week and both of them broke! The first was the eyepiece and when I went to adjust the magnification I bumped it and it just snapped off. Minimal force applied. The Objective piece just went flying off when I flicked it with my thumb when going down to range some targets. Nothing too strenuous. I contacted SWFA about a return but have yet to get a response. I will call them after work today.
Anyone else have this problem?
