Re: C2 Reticle for 1.8-10
Guys. Here is the deal on the C2 1.8 x 10 optic. It turned out good, maybe better than I thought it would. The reticle truly works much like the previous version in 1.5 x 6 power or similar to an EOTECH optic when set at low power. When the magnification is turned up the reticle of course gets bigger and eventually the ring or circle portion of the reticle disappears completely leaving a standard looking mil based reticle. I will say however, that some of you may find the reticle at high (10) power is too course for some tastes. It is a matter of taste, size of target and distances commonly encountered. The illuminated reticle is bright, big, quick and has the electronic rather than dial control. I would posts pictures but am currently too busy teaching on a Navy contract to take the time during the day and it's too dark at night. Indoor pictures proved to be ineffective. If you desire email me and I will send you a file showing the reticle via email rather than post here in the open forum. It is getting dark later everyday and if I catch a break I will take the pics and post them. I am carrying e camera with me daily and hope to catch a break. The center of the reticle aiming point is setup as four plus signs stacked together next to and above one another with a small space in between as a center aiming point. The whole center is en floated with a blank space in both the vertical and horizontal plane. This allows a half mil hold off of the center aiming point, which again some may like and some may not. I think is a good option for mid range - long range shooting applications, particularly with man size targets. It brackets well for CQB as does the floating aiming point for quick shots at higher power. I think it is an effective multiple purpose scope and I give it high marks. It surely is different and serves it's purpose throughout the power range. Is it the best of both worlds? Only you can tell guys. All of the guys here at the center have given it high marks engaging IPSC half size targets out to 600 yards which is our longest distance here. I hope all is well with you guys. My best. Kent
