C2 Shooting Center near Virginia Beach

Re: C2 Shooting Center near Virginia Beach

I qualified for my Pistol and Rifle ribbons there back in '94. I believe Special Warfare still has access to the range. There were half a dozen of us there and a pickup with boxes and boxes of ammo in the bed. Talk about some sore fingers from all the loading and shooting! It was close to the end of the fiscal year and we had to do our part to use up the ammo :)

It used to be 25 to 200yds. The new owner has expanded it to a 300yd line and added training areas as well.

Do you have any specific questions about the facility? Looking to shoot or take a class?

Daily Rates:

$12.50/hour for 100yd and below
$17.50/hour for 200 and 300 yarder (need to "qual" before you can shoot here though)

Between going hot and cold, I say you realistically have only a good 40-45mins per hour to shoot unless you time it just right. I find the prices to be high, but it's the only place to shoot out past 100 yards.

Yearly Rates:

100yd and below - $300
0 to 300yd - $600
Only 200 or 300 yarder - $500

And I just got home from Larue Range Day in Texas where it's $100/year for 0-1000 yards lol. Oh I wish we had something here like that. I normally go to C2 once a month to confirm my dopes at 100, 200, and 300 yards for my 7 rifles. Usually can do that within that first "hour" on a weekday. Weekends, forget about it!

Oh yeah, past 100 yards, it's only a 200yd and 300yd lane. nothing in between like 250, 225, etc etc. You get the point

Re: C2 Shooting Center near Virginia Beach

Nothing real specific about the range, I am just looking for a place to shoot when I am not overseas. pistol, carbine, long gun. Refresher classes and staying on top my marksmanship. Im in the VA Beach area, but head out to knotts island to visit family now and again.
BW, XE, US Training has longer ranges and more, but its been a while since Ive been out there.
