this was my first time deer hunting. And myself and a buddy bagged 4 deer over the past few days. We hung them all in my shed. Weather is great for it too, been in the 20s the past few days, and going to stay cold.
However we almost died hoisting the deer up on hooks. I have 4 hooks screwed into the floor joists of the loft in the shed. We used rope to pull the gambrels up to the hooks. However i was thinking about using this electric cable hoist from harbor freight for the job next year. Anybody have any experience with this hoist? Do you think it would work for lifting deer up to about 6 feet?

PS: I know its hit or miss with HF stuff, but ive lucked out there before.
