Some of those big boars are damn tuff and if you don't hit'em in the right place...they'll take off quick.

I shot a pair of Sika deer this morning with a .243, using 85 grain TSX, one shot, two animals! The penetration of this round is pretty good using the TSX, and picking your shot. I have shot MANY hogs with the .243, 6.8, 223, and 7.62, and ummmm 300 WM. I really like the .243, using the TSX 85's. I wish Barnes would make a MRX in the 243 size, that would be a even better LR round.
I would NOT use it with Corelokt or similiar jacketed bullets. Nosler also makes a good solid bullet, I think it has a ballistic tip, those are pretty good too. Make sure it is not a varmint round like a hornady Vmax, they sometimes don't penetrate very good, but make spectacular shock wounds.
Use your 243, get some good solids and smile!
