Rifle Scopes Can anyone tell me the value of this Night Force?

I'm pretty to the world of optics and my buddy has this scope he wants to trade me, but I know next to nothing.

It appears to be a NIGHTFORCE NXS 5.5-22X56 ZERO STOP MOAR C434 with illumination in MOA.

Used but not abused, has some scuffs on the body and a little marring on the sunshade.

Please advise; any direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, I saw a few sold for around that... I just don't know how much "not a safe queen" affected things?

Remove the rings. I had a set of those crush a Burris E1 with 15 in lbs on the caps. They were so far off you could feel a “shelf” between the top and bottom ring

Unless I’m incorrect. Assuming those are Weaver Tactical rings? Which don’t belong anywhere near a NF

Damn... I think you're spot on. Removed and saw nothing worse than previously noted.

I probably don't want this base either?

I’ve used their rails on cheaper stuff before. Did not have issues with those. Pending it’s not out of alignment with the bore, screw holes etc it would probably be fine

Looks like it has a cant to it? Like built in elevation?

I'm just trying to get set up good enough 1st iteration to take @lowlight 's class and learn all I can... then keep up on night time pest control on our farm.

So far I have a .308 20" Remmy 700 in a magpul chassis with NV hood.

Looks like I'll need a fairly short optic to clear the hood, or a tall mount. Any wisdom there?

Oh, just some of my stuff. The hope was it would work out on my 700, but it's a bit too long to fit with the NV hood. I'll probably end up selling/trading it here towards a mil/mil something.
