I own an AR10 "type" monolithic railed rifle
Im buying the SS 5x20x50mm
Im also getting the AD-S Mono mount with a center axis height of 1.38" (http://www.americandefensemanufacturing.com/view/product/11/)
Im assuming the "bell" diameter is 52mm (2.0472 inches)
According to the sticky ([rail height + ring height] - [bell diameter x 0.5])

So 0 + 1.38" = 1.38" - 2.0472 x .5 = 1.0236
So 1.38 - 1.0236 = Leaves me with a .356 clearance Correct?
Thats enough for a scope cap correct?

Did I do that right? The only unknown is the actual bell diameter.

Re: Can someone check my ring height math

Ok so the revised math with a larger "bell" diameter would be...

1.38-1.18= .20 clearance. Its a straight mount. Is 1/5th of an inch enough for a scope cap? (butler creek)?
