I just picked up a Savage 110FP 7mm RM with a Canjar single set trigger and McMillan Benchrest stock installed. Neither are my cup of tea.

That said, I'd like to remove and sell both. However, as many of you may know, the Canjar shoe is too wide to slip through the trigger guard for removal. It appears to be fastened to the trigger lever with a couple tiny roll pins and an even smaller allen set screw?? This leads me to believe that if I manage to get the shoe off, I may be unknowingly setting loose other small parts (springs, etc..) in the process.

Anyone have any tips for removal and/or resale value?

Thanks,
Ryan

Re: Canjar Trigger removal

I have a Canjar on a Springfield receiver. To take the shoe off, I had to unscrew the allen head screw on the RHS until the thread was loose and then push the pin out with a roll pin punch. The allen head screw is attached to a roll pin; the screw & roll pin are all one unit. There is a spring on the underside of the trigger. It did not fly away when I removed the shoe. But I recommend being careful.

Re: Canjar Trigger removal

I would think you should find a buyer for it in the benchrest crowd. When researching how to adjust my Canjar when I first got it, I had multiple offers to buy it from the old guys from a local benchrest club at a local gunshow.
