Canon 18x50 IS or a Meopta 15x56 binoculars up to 1K yrds

Anyone have any experience with these binoculars? Want to get a pair of binos now for for versatility and less weight/bulk besides just a spotter tool.
 
I don't know that I would call the Cannon IS model less bulky unless the new models were put on a big diet. I have the 8x30 IS model and really like them as I have issues holding my binoculars steady enough to really see things in detail. I traded off some Swvorski glass and didn't feel I gave up much.

Well in comparison to a spotting scope which is bigger then a binocular. I wanted to get a actual spotting scope. Cause for awhile now, I’ve been using my camera lens. Which is ok except that it’s bulky. So want to get some binos. Here’s a old picture of my jimmy rigged spotting scope..

Here's a good review on Bird Forum, Once you look at the Meopta's there will be no going back, especially for the price.
