Savage precision carbine, Remington 700 tactical, or howa 1500 varmint? looking to build a long range(up to 500get yards) precision gun. Also will be upgrading stock soon after purchase unless y'all think the savage accu stock will b alright. Will b reloading. Which would u pick and why? Thanks.

None of the above. Go with a Rem 700 5R, either 20 or 24" (doesn't matter). You can get them from milehighshooting.com

i am starting with the aac sd but would like to work towards another barrel. more so because i want something more exotic.

i've owned remingtons and savages but not howa
a savage accustock is a good stock
bell and carlson makes stocks for certain savages and remingtons

If your looking to build and change stocks and all then
consider the FN A3 FBI 308.
Of course all SPR's are trued from the factory, but with
the A3 you get 1/2 moa guarantee plus the chrome lined
barrel(all sprs again) As far as the barrel the SPR's are like an M24
They measure. 924. Comes with McMillan A3G stock.
The more I think about FN the more I like.

Another 5r lover here! Easiest gun ever to find a load for and shoots consistent .75 moa Average accuracy at 300 yds, This is my go to hunting rifle now.

Remington is definitely the way to go if you plan on making upgrades later.
