I have an older Accuracy International Chassis for a Rem 308, I wanted to put a VTR 308 into the chassis, but it is hitting the safety on it. It has the X-Mark Pro trigger. Does this need to be modified somehow. I'm stumped please help.

Thanks Chad

It's the X-Mark that's causing your issues I beleive, so you could either buy a different trigger or get out the Dremel tool and remove some material on the stock.

You have two resolutions available.

Replace the trigger or relieve the stock.

If you decide to replace the trigger, make sure you get one with the safety, as the one on the x-mark doesn't come off easily.

Yes, it will likely require some slight fitting to get that trigger in there. I would personally change over to an old style trigger/safety or a nice after market unit. I just don't care for the XM trigger.

Same if you get a timney.

It's not uncommon to have to fit the area around the trigger components a bit.

Just because a company advertises that their chassis is "drop-in"... doesn't mean you can drop "everything" in.
