Perfect example is one of my wife's best friends. During this Coronavirus "pandemic" she wouldn't visit her parents because she was afraid of giving it to them (to her knowledge doesn't have it or has been exposed to it). Now the government is about to lift restrictions in our state, so she's going to see her parents. The risk is actually higher right now with this BS "pandemic", but because some "higher entity" in government says it's okay, she's going to visit her parents. The risk never went away.
People don't think for themselves. They are sheep. In the above example I think she should've seen her parents regardless throughout this bullshit "pandemic", but it boggles my mind that she all of a sudden thinks it's acceptable because the government said so. The risk is still there (what little there is), but she couldn't determine that on her own.

On Tuesday, I went out to the local Mexican food/roach coach to get dinner for the wife and I (their food is fantastic, well priced and to die for).
I get there, the line to order is about 30 people deep. Did it occur to me that it was Cinco de Mayo ? No...... So, I order. There had to have been 50 people standing around, between those that had ordered/waiting to pick up and those that wanted to order. I'm waiting for my order and about one third of the people in line had masks on. Majority were bandana types/cheap junk that wouldn't have stopped them from inhaling quarter inch chunks of Bondo. One of 'em gets up close to me and gives me shit for not wearing a mask . I turned to her and said "take a look inside the coach where they are cooking your food. Do you see any of those 5 people in that van wearing a mask ?". (none were) "Oh, and BTW, you do realize that the mortality rate of CV-19 is about 0.017%, about 20% of that of the normal, annual influenza for this time of year, right ?" I told her she should probably just go home right away and shelter in place.

I was in Lowe's today, not wearing a mask, and an older couple walked past me openly complaining about people not wearing masks, how it's so "reckless", blah blah blah.
