I'm sure this has been hashed over a million times. I've read and watched videos and still not sure what way to go.

With the current situation, I've decided to go progressive and load everything myself.

The only brass I need to trim is 223 and my match 6.5x47 Lapua.

I don't know that the Giraurd is worth the investment for me.

Maybe a couple hundred cases a month. Initially, will do bulk 223 cases but I don't goto the range and do mag dumps for fun.

Looking for a good accurate 3 way trimmer.

Any thoughts on what would be best?

Thanx!

Any of the lathes with drill adaptors and their 3 way cutter could work.
Trimit2 is like the giraud triway drill mountable but expensive too. And I would want one dedicated to each so I didnt have to readjust every time.

At 155 per Trimit2, I would probably just jump to a giraurd or henderson before buying multiples of those.

You're going to lose somewhere on the fast/accurate/cheap matrix, so either skip cheap with the top options or run a drill adapter on a lathe type.

Thats where I am having the trouble.

I have 2 lathe types with drill attachment and a 3 way cutter for one. Attaching cartridges to the LE Wilson trimmer isn't super easy.

Guess I might have to suck it up and buy the Giraurd and be done with it.

I have a Giraud for bulk 223, 308 & 30-06. I also have an L. E. Wilson Micro Trimmer that I use for some hunting/target 30-06, 308, 300 BL, and 6.5 CM. I am going to help my buddy reload 300 WM so I will be getting a case holder for my L. E. Wilson in 300 WM to help him out. I like the Giraud for Bulk.

As one of the poors, I find it easier to suck it up and learn how to set up the trimit2 in a reasonable amount of time....not hard.

I don't have one (I'm in the Henderson camp) but do you have your case holder clamp adjusted properly? It looks fairly simple, if not as elegant...

Maybe they make different ones or something...mine is almost like a collet and needs tightened several turns and it's not a quick easy process. The RCBS I have is a clamp style and much easier. Of course the one I have all the accessories for is the LE Wilson lol.

I wouldn't NEED to switch too often. Once I do my bulk 223 it'll stay at 6.5x47 for a good while before I need it again. Not super afraid of adjustments.

Id want high accuracy for the x47...just can't decide what's the most practical way to get where I wanna get.
